Born Gold is a Kosher certified sake that has succeeded to hold high reputation among veteran sake drinkers and is one of the easiest sake to introduce to a newcomer. Its uniquely golden hue is due to the fact that it did not go through the carbon filtration process (Muroka), thus leaving a complex punch of flavors when you swallow. To the nose, you will get fruity, floral aroma such as a sweet honeydew or sweet rice, and with first sip, you might get a taste of strawberry that has been dipped into brown sugar. Then comes the light and slightly sweet mouthfeel, but the best part – delicately juicy and umami finish that makes Born Gold one of the hardest sake to put down and leaves a memorable impression.
Born Gold Muroka Junmai Daiginjo goes thorugh a unique brewing process where it is stored unpasteurized at -10C degrees, and is pasteurized once immediately before shipping. Note: The information about SMV has been removed for this sake only due to Kato Atsuhide the CEO has personally mentioned himself that dryness/sweetness can differ every batch depending on the ingredient’s conditions during the brewing process.
